Valentine’s Day Ideas: Make A Pen Bouquet!

Naturally, you bought pens for your Valentine this year, but now you’re having trouble thinking of how to best present them. Never fear, we’ve got you covered. Today, we’re going to show you how to make one of our personal favorites, the pen bouquet, just in time for Valentine’s Day!

1. Tissue paper
2. Decorative masking tape
3. Pens
4. Scissors

Fold the tissue paper several times and draw the shape of a flower on the paper. It doesn’t have to be perfect!

With your scissors, cut out the flowers that you drew.

Cut an X to make a hole in the middle of the flower. This is where your pen will go.

Take about eight paper flowers, and stick them through the pen. We used three different colors (white, pink, and red) and occasionally mixed and matched them! Scrunch them up near the tip of the pen. Grab your favorite masking tape and tape it down.

Separate the individual layers of the flower so it looks fuller.

After you finish taping flowers to the desired number of pens (we used five), gather the pens together. Using a thicker masking tape, wrap it around the pens to mimic floral tape.

That’s it! It’s easy and fun to do, and now, your present has that extra something!

Don’t have time to get tissue paper and flowers? This next idea is for you.

1. Decorative masking tape
2. Pens
3. Green pen case

Take all the pens in your hands, and then twist them to make a swirl shape. This will make your bouquet look fuller up top.

With the thick masking tape, secure the bouquet while being careful not to lose the swirl shape.

Take a green pen case (to mimic leaves), and stick the bouquet in it.

And you’re finished! This is great for colored pens, because you can show off all the pretty colors as “flowers.”

We hope this last article of the Valentine’s Day series gave you some fresh ideas for Valentine’s Day gifts!
