Artist Highlight – Siva Sernvongsat

Siva is a JetPens customer who is currently studying illustration at the Fashion Institute of Technology. You can see more of his work at http://sivajack.carbonmade.com and http://www.flickr.com/photos/seevah. His fun children’s illustrations combine colorful cartoons with a sense of humor.

Give us a little insight as to how you use our JetPens products in your illustrations.

When I want to create something bold and cartoony I always go with Sakura Microns just because it is easy to produce such a bold/thin line with them. I find it easier to pull out a micron when I am in the middle of the street with an idea instead of a dip pen. But when I in my studio working on something with more detail I will always pull out my Zebra G-pen and maru nibs.
